This project included both ground and upper storey extensions to cater for a growing family.

Cameron and Tamara contacted Graythrone in late 2010. They had plans drawn up already and were looking to increase the size of their home for their young and increasing family. The project included both ground and upper storey extensions to cater for their needs.

The ground floor included building a new front entry area, lounge room, pantry and a study area. The project also added a new double carport, concrete path and steps, and a marbau deck to complement the new rendered fascade. One of the bedrooms at the back of the existing house was changed into a stairwell and storage area to access the new modern design of the extension.

The upper storey extension is placed over the rear two bedrooms and extends out into the backyard to make use of otherwise redundant land (due to the slope). This part of the project added a new master bedroom with walk in robe, a third bedroom, a family bathroom and a rumpus room. We also added a new deck and KD Merbau stairs to access the backyard from the deck.
